I recently got my hands on a stack of non-functioning Commmodore 64s cheap off the internet. Buying retro gear like that is always a good way to re-stock the spare parts box and hopefully get some of the machines to work again. This time I was lucky enough to get a board that I did not have in my collection. It was an Assy 250469 Rev. 3 short board and it was in pretty good shape. However, the board had a black screen at start-up so I had to bring it back to life and put it in one of my recently purchased Kickstarter cases. The repair job can be found here.
There was also a broken Assy 250469 Rev. 4 short board that I wanted to take a closer look at. The results can be found here.
